Effective Virtual Business Development & Communications: The Master Class for Principal Level Engagement

February 03, 2021
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Virtual Meeting

This program will focus on better communication in a virtual environment: how we speak, move, listen, document, and demonstrate. The virtual environment offers both liabilities and advantages to individuals and teams; those who embrace new ways of communicating will be the most effective. Across contexts, participants will learn how to use their voice, body, and presence to lead communication; we will learn—and practice—skills that will positively impact any type of communication, including short-list interviews.

Meg will share lessons learned from high-profile interviews, training processes, and facilitated events from across the globe to help participants understand how they can take advantage of technology to be better communicators. She will also share a series of ‘hacks’ to make virtual communication more effective for any type event and any skill level of speaker. Finally, we’ll review best practices for virtual interviews that will help your teams prepare differently – and more effectively – and that you can use in your next short-list interview to showcase your team’s differentiation and engage with your selectors.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Join us at 11:30 am for pre-presentation networking where you'll have the opportunity to connect with SMPS members and non-members from Washington D.C., San Diego, and Seattle. After the presentation, stay online for a post-presentation round table discussion where you'll have the opportunity to gain further insights and ideas that will help set your firm apart.  Plan to come ready to be engaged and interact with the group. We ask that if you're able, please have your video turned on. Each participating chapter has agreed to make a charitable donation. SMPS-TC will be making a donation to the Girl Scouts River Valleys.
