About the Speakers

Teri Firkin's passion for solving communications challenges through smart, strategic design is driven by one core directive: beauty is only half the battle. A well-designed brochure, package or logo must transcend just looking great, it must work to communicate a message, solve a problem or invoke a reaction. Teri has dedicated her career to helping her clients realize the true power behind visual communications when executed against the principle - a principle where form and function are inseparable.

As Creative Manager for HGA, Teri serves as the brand steward for the firm, helping ensure visual consistency across all marketing and communications materials. Prior to joining HGA, Teri worked on the agency side as Design Diretor, leading creative teams in the execution of multi-channel communication campaigns. She helped dozens of clients such as General Mills, Coca-Cola, and the U.S. Census tell their story on and offline through cohesive visual identify systems, websites, and activation events. Teri graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Design Communication.
