| Programs |
The Programs Committee facilitates quality training and continuing education for all levels of marketing and business development professionals while focusing on the 6 Domains of Practice. Events include monthly luncheon panels, roundtables, or half-day professional development programming. This Committee plans and executes the annual education planning meeting to prepare events for the upcoming year. The chairs of this committee manage the Program Champions throughout the year to ensure timely promotion and execution of quality events. |
| Professional Development |
The goal of the Professional Development committee is to provide or create networking and educational opportunities. You will help in developing and sponsoring continuing education and professional development seminars. This committee strives to strengthen relationships with peer and industry organization. |
| Communications |
The Communications Committee spreads the word about all chapter events and initiatives. Responsibilities include writing pre-event press releases (as needed), managing the organization’s social media accounts, creating graphics for social media, maintaining the Twin Cities Chapter website, promoting sponsors, and designing ads, postcards, emails, and handouts. With so much competition for people’s time and attention, their challenge is to make the Chapter’s materials engaging. |
| Membership |
The Membership Committee focuses on initiatives that drive, support, recruit, and sustain the membership of our Chapter. Activities surround welcoming and orienting new members, organizing new-member breakfasts, providing networking opportunities, member recognition and collecting feedback for the purpose of attracting and retaining members. |
| Sponsorship |
The Sponsorship Committee organizes the chapter’s sponsorship activities and constantly evaluates how to provide sponsors value and opportunity. Simply put, without the support of our sponsors, SMPS-TC would not be able to pursue our mission to advocate for, educate, and connect leaders in the building industry. This committee conducts prospective and existing sponsor outreach as well as tracking and development of enhanced sponsorship packages. |
